Cadence Education is currently seeking a Director of Integration.Under the direction of the Vice President of Integration, the Director of Integration  supports the strategic integration planning, due diligence and execution phases of M&A transactions that align to business objectives.  This position monitors execution risk and interdependencies and helps to reprioritize integration items as needed to ensure continuity of ongoing operations. This position partners with assigned Regional Director (RD) and Territory Vice President (TVP) to ensure alignment on future state operations and ensures a smooth hand-off to business as usual.

Company Overview

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

1.

Supports onboarding of new School Directors by educating on Cadence policies and procedures, assisting in day-to-day management of school, and helping to prioritize integration activities where needed to ensure continuity of operation; acts as a coach/mentor and sounding board for new School Directors to help address any issues relating to integration, pre- or post-close.

2.

Reviews Due Diligence documents and participates in Due Diligence calls, partnering to identify operational nuances that should be considered and remedied prior to integration.

3.

Responsible for post-acquisition financial and operating performance at assigned acquisition schools, oversight of system conversion and/or implementation process, and initial school director training for up to  6 months.

Provides post-close support to new School Director to help address needs or concerns expressed by teachers, parents, or students.  Serves as a liaison to school personnel when needed; Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships through positive, engaging internal and external customer interactions.  Helps to foster relationships between Regional Director and School Director.

Spot and creatively solve complex, cross-functional operational issues, often unique to each deal; an integral part of the due diligence team to build baseline understanding of the acquisition target and its personnel with a specific focus on accelerating the knowledge of the assigned RD and TVP; track/report on integration status to in conjunction with Project Management Office (PMO)

5.

Drawing on operational needs and experience, works with PMO to customize integrations plans that fit the school and school specific dynamic. Will ensure that integration checklist is followed. Will partner with School Support Center leadership team if training or education issues arise and will be part of the solution to course correct.

6.

 

Works with PMO to present integration plan to obtain buy in and support. from the School Director and school staff.

7.

Responsible to identify change acceptance issues and partner with school support center leaders to deploy change management techniques for change acceleration.

8.

Will assist in the planning, forecasting, and delivering of financial goals, talent assessment, and other needs in the first 90-180 days.

9.

Creates handover analysis and action plans to assist operational field team with  successfully integrating the new school into the same school portfolio.

10.

May have non-integration related responsibilities on day-to-day basis as defined by VP of integration or COO.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·       Must have the ability to travel up to 90% of the time.

·       Must be a successful leader of people, have strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.

·       Must be able to decide how to allocate people, time and other resources to create, execute, and accomplish an operating or project plan on time and within budget.

·       Must have solid analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control and coordinate activities.

·       Must be able to manage priorities in a dynamic environment and adapt to change quickly and positively.

·       Must demonstrate ability to be self-directed, as well as demonstrate excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

·       Must be able to work as a team member with peers, other managers, staff and leadership.

·       Must possess good customer service and communications skills, the ability to work with professionals and maintain confidentiality standards.

·       Requires ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Education or equivalency:

·       Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, Early Childhood Education or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.

Experience:

·       Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible integration experience that demonstrates a high level of understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Experience must include demonstrated leadership ability, preferably working in a related management position in an education setting.
