Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Sr Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. This position maintains and balances general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. The Sr Accountant will also assist with the annual audit and other ad hoc projects as required.
1. Keeps records to ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
2. Maintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
3. Reviews and analyzes financial statements for discrepancies or other issues. Applies professional judgment in the performance of the role.
4. Assists with the annual audit by providing supporting schedules and answering questions as applicable.
5. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with all levels of management and key stakeholders. Supports our field operations and other departments by answering questions and providing requested information timely.
6. Assist with other ad hoc projects as required.
