Job Title Required Skills and Education:

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    ·       Prefer knowledge of compensation theory and practice, job evaluation methodologies; and FLSA and regulations related to Compensation.

    ·       Must be very detail oriented and demonstrate strong analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and the ability to detect inconsistencies with data.

    ·       Must be able to work in a team environment.

    ·       Requires proven organization skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

    ·       Requires excellent written and verbal communications skills.

    ·       Requires the ability to demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Prefer experience with Access.

    ·       Must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

    ·       Requires ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

    Education or equivalency:

    ·       Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college preferably majoring in human resources, business administration, or accounting; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.

    Experience:

    ·       Requires a minimum of three (3) years of Compensation, Human Resources, or financial analysis related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

 Job Title Job Responsibilities:

 

Reporting to the Compensation Program Director, the Compensation Analyst will play a key role in supporting the organization’s mission by ensuring competitive, fair, and sustainable compensation practices across our early childhood education workforce. This role requires analytical skills to conduct salary benchmarking, job evaluations, and data analysis, along with a keen understanding of industry-specific compensation trends and practices.

  • Conduct market analysis and research to maintain competitive salary structures aligned with the early childhood education sector. Collect, analyze, and interpret data from salary surveys, industry sources, and internal metrics to benchmark compensation.

    Assist in developing and implementing compensation structures that reflect the organization’s values, ensuring pay equity and internal consistency. Collaborate with HR and leadership to support the development of salary ranges, incentive plans, and other compensation components.

    Perform job evaluations and grade assignments based on role requirements, ensuring alignment with the organization’s compensation philosophy. Partner with hiring managers to assess new and existing roles for appropriate title, level, and compensation.

    Analyze workforce data to monitor trends, identify outliers, and propose adjustments as needed to maintain pay equity. Prepare regular reports and analyses on compensation trends, salary distributions, and forecast needs for decision-making

    Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations, including FLSA, pay transparency, and pay equity standards. Stay informed about early childhood education industry standards, competitive practices, and legal updates impacting compensation.

    Provide guidance and support on compensation-related matters to HR team members, managers, and employees. Communicate complex compensation concepts and policies in a clear, relatable manner for various audiences within the organization.

    Will perform other administrative daily duties as needed.
