Job Description

 

Under the director of the School Director or other designated leader, the School Curriculum Specialist assists with the implementation of the school curriculum as directed by the School Support Center training and development team.  This position will assist with measuring the outcomes, ensure benchmarks are met, and supports teachers in delivering the curriculum.

 

What Makes You Our Leadership All-Star:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on teaching experience.
  • Meets state licensing standards, including criminal background screening and fingerprinting.
  • Education/experience in one of these:
    • Holds a current Rhode Island Department of Ed teacher certification for grades pre-kindergarten to second grade and has three (3) months supervised teaching experience in a licensed/approved Early childhood program OR
    • Holds a current Rhode Island Deparrment of Ed teacher certification for Early Childhood Special Ed, which includes Early Childhood certification and has three (3) months supervised teaching experience in a licensed Early Choldhood Program OR 
    • Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education or in a related Education field of study
  • Deep knowledge of national/state education standards, licensing, fire, health, and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong grasp of USDA Nutritional Standards for Schools.
  • At least 21 years old with corporate driving requirements met.
  • Must be avaialable to open and close the building as needed

  • Assisting and supporting the leadership team with daily school operations
  • Model professionalism, consistency, and passion in every interaction, setting the tone for excellence.
  • Train and inspire a team of 10–40, guiding performance appraisals and personalized growth plans.
  • Attending SPK meetings and providing classroom coverage when necessary 
  • Communicate preschool standards and policies clearly, ensuring everyone’s on the same page.
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines and updating curricula in a timely fashion. Must be organized and forward-thinking, supplying teachers with accurate syllabi and sufficient time to follow them. 
  • Working with teachers, school directors, and subject experts, curriculum developers must build strong communication skills not only to complete their duties in a timely fashion but also to relay information clearly to everyone involved. 
  • Deliver unparalleled customer service to parents and families, building trust and loyalty.
