Looking for a hands-on role where you can help keep a busy preschool running smoothly? We are currently seeking a dependable, energetic Housekeeping Support to join our team!

This position is an important part of our school’s daily operations. While there may be some light food preparation involved, this is not primarily a cooking position. The majority of the role focuses on meal service support, dishes, laundry, stocking, cleaning, and helping ensure food and supplies get where they need to be throughout our school.

What You’ll Do

As our Support Assistant, you’ll help keep daily school operations moving efficiently. Responsibilities include:

• Washing, sanitizing, drying, and putting away dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Completing school laundry throughout the afternoon, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing clean items.
• Taking out trash and maintaining clean and sanitary food-service areas.
• Stocking food, beverages, paper products, and other supplies.
• Following all food-safety, sanitation, and allergy procedures.
• Keeping carts, counters, sinks, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Pitching in with other food-service and operational tasks as needed to support the school.
• Cleaning common areas such as lobby, restrooms, classrooms and hallways.
• Service as classroom support, as needed.

What This Position Is Really About

This is a fast-paced, physical, hands-on support position. You will be moving throughout a large preschool building, transporting meals, collecting dishes, completing multiple loads of laundry, stocking supplies, cleaning, and helping maintain an organized food-service operation.

You do not need to be a chef or have extensive cooking experience. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, efficient, and willing to jump in and get things done.

• Is comfortable being on their feet and moving throughout the school for much of the day.
• Can safely lift and transport food containers, laundry, supplies, and trash.
• Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively.
• Understands the importance of cleanliness and sanitation in a childcare environment.
• Is willing to help wherever needed and enjoys being an important part of a busy school community.

Experience in food service, childcare, housekeeping, school operations, hospitality, or a similar support role is helpful but not required.

Preschool Assistant/Housekeeper Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Previous housekeeping experience

Preschool Assistant/Housekeeper Responsibilities:

• Perform housekeeping tasks as needed, such as laundry, cleaning equipment, cleaning common areas, classrooms and restrooms and sanitizing toys.
• Note: This role involves physical lifting.
